Festival theme for our tables...any ideas please!!!!

I LOVE that idea!! I think its funny rather than tacky.

I'm sorry, I don't have any ideas for you, I just wanted to vote for the little welly vases!

It was more detailed than that..............thought i could get a huge tall square glass vase filled with the usual flowers for the main table decoration (on each table). Then get x4 gold wellies to place around each edge of the vase, then plant them with the seasonal flowers????

Maybe I'll just buy a pair and have a practice, when OT sees them, he may not think im being so crazy!!!!!??

When I saw your topic title I was going to suggest wellies but other than that a bit stumped as I've never been to a festival sorry!

Personally I LOVE that idea!

I like the festival theme for table names - I think that it will get people talking.. or even singing ! You could have table name cards or place name cards with pictures of musical instruments or in the shape of musical instruments, I have also seen musical note table confetti. We have made table plans with album cover images as embellishments to represent table names and a similar concept could be used for the festival names. If you need any help in the design of a table plan then please have a look at: www.yourtableplan.co.uk for some ideas. Great idea though ! Rock on.

I'm sure I've seen little welly shaped favours, not sure where I'm afraid. I'm trying to think of something creative you could do with mini tents - but I'm afraid I'm a bit rubbish at all this!! Maybe you could make people use smelly porta-loo's at your wedding (ok thats not helpful at all is it - sorry!)?

I like the ideas about using musical notes too.

Great theme - I love festivals and been to loads since I was a kid. My parents are hippies and used to take my and my brother and sister to glasto when we were little kids.

Anyway I think you should provide some circus things for the tables like juggling balls - they would fit with your theme and be entertaining.

What about making up lanyards like you get at festivals... you could make the top layer their place card and include the menu, and other info too. It would allow you somewhere to put info like please don't forget to take your favour home, etc. You could even include a map with the loos, main stage, bar...

How about T -in the Park festival, the Oxygen Festival in Ireland (please check spelling for that one) the V festival...Download festival is one too (willownat is a veteran!) bet theres loads more......

oh and the table names signs could be in the shape of the infamous stripey tents!! LOVE the lanyard idea....... oooo minds going into creative overdrive!

Hello this is the first time i have posted on this new format......We have had the same idea but we are naming our tables after bands..the older the people on the table the older the bands....The Rolling Stones etc, I had the idea of having a 7" Vinal with the table name in the middle so it looked abit festival...was also thinking of making wrist bands with our names and the date on but not sure how to do that....or if people will wear them. When are you getting married?

You can pick old vinyl up for next to nothing and write on it with a silver pen. I'd go for 12" rather than 7" though cos they're a little small ?

If you went for the american way of seating (just give em a table let them choose where to sit on that table) You could do wristband place cards where it had thier name, your wedding date and names and then the name of the table.

The table cards could be done in the style of each festivals tickes or camping pass.

I personally love the idea of wellies but I'd be tempted not to have them match the colour scheme so they look quite striking and funky in contrast to the rest of the tables. After all is that not what fesivals are about the ecclectic?

We are getting Married August Bank holiday weekend next year....its when all of us would go too Leeds Festival but not next year!!! Thats why we wanted to have some sort of festival theme.... have you done your invertations yet? x x
