Hi guys. Just looking for some input from people who've been to a small wedding of 30-40 people.
We want the day to suit us (casual, low-key), but don't want our guests to be bored. We are hosts after all.
Please point out any flaws etc in the plan! Please imagine you're a guest at our wedding. Here's how the day would run.
10am - Ceremony
11am(ish) - Drinks reception
12pm - Wedding breakfast
1pm - Short "thanks for coming" speech, more drinks and mingling
2pm - Cut the cake
3pm - Wedding is over.
Would you feel rushed? Bored? Or is this acceptable?
Basically partner and I want to spend the rest of the day alone. The wedding will be in the city centre so guests can easily take themselves out for drinks etc afterwards at a nice pub or bar.
Also looking for advice on whether restaurant receptions are boring or ok?
