OMG! Don't get me started on this one! H2B has decided he would really like Paulo Nutini's 'Pencil Full of Lead,' becaue he likes the line 'Hey! there goes my baby,' and he wants us to do a Charleston to it! Neither of us can dance. He wants to do a 'routine' because he will feel awkward shuffling around the dance floor, whcih I totally get and I really really want to compromise on this because he really hasn't asked for much. But, I cannot see us doing the charleston to Pencil Full of Lead anway, let alone with me in a wedding gown!

I would like to try waltzing to Everything by Michael Buble, but I'm leaving that conversation for a bit closer to the time!

Im being so picky, I have my perfect song 'grow old with me' by Tom Odell, but h2b hates the sound of his voice!

I'm being so picky. I want a male vocalist, I want it to be romantic but not too soppy, I want it to be upbeat but not too upbeat! I want a happy sounded song not a sad sounding ballad. We're indie/folk music fans so I don't want something very 'pop' ish (eg Taylor swift!) I have listened to hundreds and I can't find anything that fits the bill! Suggestions are welcome!

We are having Its All About You by Mcfly....i love it and always have, some of the lyrics are so sweet. And makes us laugh as i have sung it very badly to my OH pretty much every time we hear it. We went to a rugby match a few years ago where Mcfly were pre-match entertainment and they sang it then..... There were no words to describe my excitement! Now that i know its going to be our first dance it makes me cry when i hear it!

Or....

Tom Baxter's 'Better'.

Both are a little folk/indie.

We were originally going to have Ed Sheeran thinking out loud after I saw him play the accoustic version at Big Weekend (our friend is playing our first dance song on his guitar) but another friend is having it as hers before us - about 20% of the guests will be the same.

So probably going with Riptide by Vance Joy.
