First dance songs :-)

I was flicking through the music channel and came across 2 young boys called ryandan, they are from canada and mainlly sing classical. our first dance song is one of theres called called "like the sun" if you search on youtube you can find it, i love it!! classical isnt really my choice of music but i love the words of the song, good luck in your search

I would google the words first though as he does say W****House in the lyrics other than that it's all Good.

I really really like indie music and love Kings of Leon. Not sure that Arizona is the best choice though cos I'm sure he talks about being drunk and stuff but its one of my fave KOL songs.

I've tasked myself with going through music today to pick our songs for signing the register and for the first dance although I think we've decided the first dance will be - You're My Star by Stereophonics. I like to be different and don't want a 'popular' first dance song.

Acutal first dance song will be "Reach" by S Club 7. But our last dance will be "Something about the way you look tonight" by Elton John ❤️

We are planning to leave straight after to be waved off by everyone! ?

We were thinking of a real cheesy last dance - Glory of Love by Peter Cetera (which many of you may remember from the Karate Kid II soundtrack!). OH wants to get out a karate kid headband for the song and do the crane kick to finish the night....

We are having (i think) Kings of Leon Use somebody - the song was playing when OH proposed and was playing on the radio all the way back from the trip as well. It played when we moved house and then it played on the radio whilst we on the way to the hospital whilst i was in labour!!! we love Kings of Leon and love this song and it seems like its always playing at big moments/happy times. Fate i think!!

I wanted luther vandross and mariah carey endless love as it WAS one of my favourite songs!

Then last night when i played it to H2b i was like i really want this played as our first dance...and he was like sorry love, thats the song that was played at my wedding (to his exwife) so looks like that ones out the window.

It really annoyed me though because i asked him a while back what was played at his wedding so i didnt pick it and say i liked it and he said he couldnt remember!

So now...... i think were going to go for Peter Cetera - Youre my inspiration

I wanted Lets Stay Together by Al Green but he doesn't so I'll have that at the end. We're also thinking of having Fix You by Coldplay, Iris by Goo Goo Dolls and Masterplan by Oasis at the end. For our first dance he wants Gran Turino by Jamie Cullum but i'm worried it's TOO slow. We're now thinking Last Request by Paolo Nutini.

We are having Al Green Lets Stay Together as its one of my favorites and the second song is going to be Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson just because i love it so much and it makes me smile, 3rd we are thinking of having Dont stop me now by Queen as that will get everyone up and i'll be on a roll by then lol!
