Fish bowls and cake maker????

SarahFairy, 28 March, 2008 at 00:05 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi there

Does anyone know where I can buy glass goldfish bowl things for centre pieces on tables.

Also, does anyone know of a cake maker in Herts, I'm thinking of maybe someone who works fron home as I'm looking on a budget. Otherwise I'll buy from M&S I guess and ask florist to put flowers on top.

Thanks

Sarah

Hi there sarah - welcome to hitched!

am not a huge expert on either topic, but my cousin had the most yummy amazing cake - made by a lady in bishops stortford! she decided she didn't want the 'tradtional' shape cake so went for a birthday cake covered in mini white marshamallows - it was delicious!
the website is mainly 'wedding' cakes - but cousin went for cake tasting (which she highly recommended!) and found her cake in the birthday section of her file...

as for glass goldfish bowls - maybe try asking your local florist if you could hire them in (rather than buy them - depending on how many you need, and i suppose, whether you want to keep them all afterwards) - or tryhttps://sia-deco.com/sia/home.php?pays_id=16
as they used to supply the gift type stuff for the florist shop i used to help out in...

Both of these companies do Bowls & Mirrors and are the cheapest I think Easy are the cheapest for P&P.

I am a florist in Hertfordshire and have worked with all these cakemakes and they all do a good job, not sure about prices though.

Your florist should be able to supply the bowls for you either to buy or on hire.

    Hi Sarah,
I bought my fishbowls from Sainsburys - think they were about £6 each but I did buy them at the end of last year.. saying that I have seen some in recently so I'd check Sainsburys and and maybe Tesco's too.. good luck!
