Flash me your MOB/ MOG outfit/ dresses

MOG has ordered this from Marisota over the weekend, it will arrive this week so can't tell you yet what it's like IRL. It's a dress, occasion coat and a cardy for eve.

She was going to get something made for her but then she saw this and it's exactly what she had wanted!

I absolutely love Hobbs. I love the NW3 stuff for me, and original Hobbs for my mum, so I have staked out a potential outfit for my mum form their outlet dresses on their website:

I only went looking because I thought it might be nice to get my mum a present, but I fully expect her to want to pick out her own outfit. I didn't make her match my colour scheme or anything, I just saw a dress and jacket I thought looked nice for our June wedding.

I'm not really a fan of official 'mother of the bride' dress lines, like those ian stuart dresses. I think they're a little over the top, but there are some great high street shops to check out.

I think im gonna find it hard as my mother in law loves the TOWIE style dresses and i know she would love a dress like

where as my mum loves the look of

both i like but together they are so different , not that i think they have to match but just didnt know if either where the type of dress that was for a mother of the bride/ groom

obviously the final decision lays with them

Oh yeah, it doesn't matter at all whether they match or even go well with any of the bridal party! If they like such different things, I think you really need to be firm with them and tell them that they need to sort their own outfits. I don't think I've ever heard of mothers of the bride and groom not wanting to pick their outfits. I've heard of them being open to input from the bride, but not demanding it

Both our mums got their dresses from jacques vert and both have gone for purple shades (not deliberately, just happened that way) My colour scheme is champagne gold/ivory with a small scattering of pink and green. so the dresses dont really tone with the colour scheme though that is fine by me.

OH's mum: she has the whole outfit as per the picture (fascinator, shoes, bag etc)

My mum:My mum only chose the dress and decided to pair it up with nude shoes from nine west, and nude/taupe coloured fascinator, bag and pashima from accessorise

This is my Mam's outfit, its from Matalan its lovely and was an obsolute bargain - actually daren't say how much she paid, compared to what some MOB/MOG are having to pay.

The hat is from TK Maxx at just £35!!
