This is very similar to what we are having, top tier is fruit, then carrot, then plain sponge with chocolate cream then chocolate sponge with jam and cream. Smiley smile Forgot to say, the silver bits will be dark green!

We're having a doughnut tower from www.pippindoughtnuts.co.uk. They're the most amazing doughnuts you'll ever taste, and neither my OH or I particularly like wedding cake or icing! Thinking of having strawberries and cream, cinammon and brown sugar, chocolate and vanilla custard ones. We're getting a two tier traditional cake from M&S too, for peeps who don't like doughnuts x

    Hi

Just a quick cake related question... for a 3 tier cake what sort of sizes would each tier be?

I've been quoted for a 6", 8" and 10". does that sound about right?

    Thank you! x

3rd best cake of 2011... (or was it 2nd?!) very bog standard cake with amazing little cat toppers Smiley smile We diddnt see the cake as a big deal so we were really not fussed on how it looked. As it was I only got to see it the day before! It matched our invites and save the dates.

(I hate the little silver stand thing it is on but at the time didn't notice it at all)

Althought im not having the wood chip look on the 2nd, 4th and 6th tier. Its plain with and the lace from the tier above is moving down.

The bottom and top tier are dummy ones, but the 4 flavours we are having are fruit, coconut, lemon and red velvet. Costin us £630 with delivery and setup as the company doing it ar over 35 miles away. Smiley smile

We're having a plain bottom tier with fondant roses round the bottom, one like this on top with our wedding colours, blue and purple and a fondant rose or calla lilly on top. I think anyway, my mums doing ours.

For a cake ? that is so much money- I am sure it will be beautiful but I would freak at spending that much on something that may not even be eaten.

We were originally going to just have an M&S cake and just decorate ourselves but for a similar cost this will be ours - but it will be cadbury purple and we're not having the sugarpaste ribbons. Flavours - Fruit, Carrot Cake with Orange Buttercream and Chocolate Orange. Yum Yum!

    Hi,

This was ours back in October. It was all hand piped. So many cake makers wanted to use a stencil but we found an amazing lady and it took her two days.
