Flower ideas for James Bond theme wedding

Miss Zoe, 18 June, 2008 at 21:12 Posted on Planning 0 23

I have no idea.

We are renewing our vows and having a huge james bond theme wedding.

I know I want silk flowers not sure what styles, colours or types to go for. Colour scheme is black and white with touches of red.

I'm wearing red and all the bridesmaids in black.

Please help!!

Surely its got to be dramatic red roses?? You could get some large ones and have small diamonds through them?? I can't think of any other flower that would be more perfect.

    hi Zoe

what about black martini glasses with red "cherries" on sticks made out of silk flower balls? we did this for a corporate function ages ago and think i still have some pics if you want to email me (our hard drive was lost last year and with it a few hundred photos), i can let you have a look. i made a table plan with all the tables names after cocktails with the guest names printed onto cocktail shaker shaped card and the table names were cocktail shakers with the cocktail name at the top then the ingredients for the cocktail printed below

You have to use tall martini glasses! How about having table diamonds scattered on the tables too?

wow what a fabulous idea for a wedding, if it is your H2B who is the bond fan, have a great James Bond quiz that I did for my man for Valentines if you want it, if he is a specialised fan!! It has loads of quotes, complete the sentence, trivia, song lyrics, sound clips and hundreds of facts only die harders know. All information was available on the web but it took a lot of gathering! If you want I will email it to you and you can give it to him as a gift! My man loved it when to deliver the quiz i dressed up as a bond girl!!

    Hi Zoe,

Not 'done' a Bond wedding but my business partner has done a Bond 30th party along very similar decor lines of a wedding. Obviously no bouqets but for table dec's she used black and silver flowers and all very minimal. Bond to me is simple, clean lines and elegance of the highest order... to that end, I would be looking at perhaps Roses or Cala lilies but keeping it all very simple and allow the flowers to make the statement for themselves.

    HTH!

Not exactly flowers but how about theming of each dining table in relation to a particular film. For example, the Live & Let Die table could have a centrepiece based around tarot cards & voodoo effigies, chair covers in animal skin print and a close up magician who resembles Baron Samedi, watch keeper of the graveyard on the isle of San Monique. Goldfinger table, with the whole decor being gold, the Diamonds are forever table could be literally dripping with diamonds and so on and so forth. You could decide what Bond films are your favourite and go with that?

All the films utilise many exotic locations so there is plenty of material to draw inspiration from, ensuring all tables are individual and unique.

Sherrie, that first cake is ridiculous - in a really fabulous sense! Love it!

Nat, I'm concerned that you are actually planning to steal the idea for yourself and have mentally redecorated your entire wedding! ?
