Flowers with hunter green colour scheme?

mrs2bsoon, 8 June, 2011 at 20:05 Posted on Planning 0 17

I love need to start thinking about flowers but my budget is small and I'm no nothing about flowers! My bridesmaids are in hunter green and my dress is ivory! I was thinking red and ivory roses or something but not sure. Didn't want to spend more than 500 on flowers. Does anyone know what would go well or anyone else have a small budget:?

You're copying us - we have ivory and hunter green Smiley smile

We went for burgundy and ivory roses wrapped with some gold ribbon.

We bought silk roses from the US, cost about £60 inc postage and has done all the bridal party flowers and buttonholes/corsages etc, as a friend made them for us.

Don't know if that helps at all?

We bought the flowers from /collections/silk-rose and one of our bridesmaids put it all together.

This is the end result, in the bridal bouquet.

What time of year are you getting married?

A winter wedding would suit Red Roses with lots of eucalyptus for you & Ivory for the Bridesmaids

We are getting married in November. I love those flowers!!!! They are just what we are looking for. I have 2 flower girls and 3 bridesmaids, myself and 7 button holes. We need to get flowers for the church and house all for under £500. Is it doable?

Actually you're both copying us - we had ivory and hunter green too ? We also threw a bit of silver in there too though.

We had off-white freesias and roses, with some green foliage. Some piccies:

i have to agree my mum picked up some artifical flowers to have a play around and i wasnt convinced i thought they'd look tacky.. now all the boquets, button holes and centrepieces are artifical and i love them. others might not and think they look artifical but i cant really tell the difference Smiley smile

I am having a green and ivory colour scheme too - though i think i might be going for olive green rather than hunter. I was thinking about a few burnt orange coloured flowers in the bouquet. Not too sure though.

As we're getting married in the New Forest, in September, we're bringing in lots of autumnal accents hence the burgundy roses with gold ribbon, there's scope for yellows, browns and oranges too as they're all colours that hopefully will be seen around the hotel on the trees at the time of our wedding. Being September we can also bring in the 'harvest' theme and are using dried cereals as table centrepieces (wheat, barley, oats plus lavender to add some fragrance).

What time of year have you chosen? You may find that 'ivory and green plus ...' can be worked in to your theme quite well.

Lemon/yellow also looks lovely with dark green and burnt orange too. Here's a few I've done for the same scheme:-

These are all artificial - hope that helps.
