. . . is really starting to get to me. I spend 3 hours a day on public transport surrounded by people coughing, sneezing and sweating, so its never a surprise when I get a cold / flu, but this year I've remained disease free so far. Even proving immune to close proximity with a lurgified G&T....

. . . is really starting to get to me.

I spend 3 hours a day on public transport surrounded by people coughing, sneezing and sweating, so its never a surprise when I get a cold / flu, but this year I've remained disease free so far. Even proving immune to close proximity with a lurgified G&T.

Now, I only have 2 working days left before I finish for the year, and I'm becomming increasingly worried that just as I get some time off, I'll come down with something that will leave me bed-ridden and unable to enjoy the holidays. Every sneeze, tickly throat or minor ache gets analysed, its almost becomming an obsession. ?

Anybody else ?

Or am I just crazy ?

Think I have had flu twice in my lifetime (am 24) once when I was very young, and once 5 years ago.

When I had it 5 years ago it was over Christmas, it was horrid, it was the first yr I have actually lost weight at christmas, because i couldnt drag myself out of bed to eat even

Norovirus is vile. I have never been so glad that my sink and toilet are so close together.

Apparently I wasn't being paranoid after all.

As of yesterday I have a stinking cold - not near-death-experience 'flu, but still spoiling my christmas spirit. ?

Wahhhhhh ? I completely jinxed myself! I have noro or a near equivalent I think, last night's dinner didn't stay down long enough to have the benefit of it so all I've really had since yesterday lunch is water and just recently a very ill advised cup of tea. I have a vague feeling of hunger but I know I will be seeing anything I eat again very, very soon. Have taken myself back to bed with the laptop and Top Gear on Dave.

Gah, me too now. The second I've been able to relax, I get a stinking cold.

I'm being evil and miserable and being in work, because it's my last day here with my line manager and I need to sort out paperwork

I am ill with a cold or sickness bug every single chrstmas, twice I've had flu.

I'm terrified of getting the norovirus. We had it last year and it was horrible, my LO slept between me and H on towels to catch the vomit. When I was pregnant I had extreme morning sickness (ended up in hospital twice) and its left me with a phobia of being sick.
