Food

Kayleigh, 4 December, 2023 at 11:52 Posted on Planning 0 22
I’m getting married and I’ve gone for a two course meal, so we will get a hot dinner and a pudding for after the ceremony .
I was going to have a buffet at the night time, but I decided to have a barbecue package instead just a basic barbecue package, you get burgers, hotdogs, buns bacon onions, cheese and sauce and salad is this okay for evening food? as I can’t help but overthink it and think it’s not enough but I’m already spending so much on the two course meal in the afternoon so I’m trying to work it out to be a bit cheaper for myself

    That sounds great!
Some people may not eat at all in the evening, after being full from dinner but those that want - BBQ food is always a safe bet for most people. Also worth remembering to only cater to about 70% of your guests in the evening, between people heading home and/or not being hungry after dinner, you aren’t gonna need to cater for everyone Smiley smile

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! A barbecue for the evening sounds like a fun, casual option. Burgers, hot dogs, salads etc. should be perfectly fine, especially if people will still be full from the afternoon meal. The best part is really spending time with your loved ones. Try not to stress and enjoy your special day!

Apologies for the oversight! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Your plan for a two-course meal followed by a barbecue package sounds delightful. A barbecue spread with burgers, hotdogs, and an assortment of toppings and salads is a fantastic choice for the evening celebration. It's natural to consider budgeting, especially after investing in a lovely two-course meal earlier in the day. Your decision to balance cost while offering delicious options shows thoughtfulness. On a side note, have you considered exploring the best Mexican breakfast in San Antonio for any pre-wedding festivities? The city offers a delightful array of flavorful morning options that could add a vibrant touch to your celebration! Wishing you a wonderful wedding day filled with joy and fantastic food moments!

Your barbecue package idea for the evening sounds perfect! After a two-course meal, guests will likely appreciate the more relaxed and casual option of a barbecue. It's a great balance between offering enough food without going overboard. Plus, barbecue food like burgers, hotdogs, and salads are crowd-pleasers and create a fun, laid-back atmosphere for your reception. Don't worry too much – it sounds like you've thought this through well and are making great choices for your special day!

That’s a great discussion it’s always helpful to hear everyone’s thoughts on food choices and what works for different occasions. When planning a meal out or a casual food stop, many people like to check the Panda Express Price List in advance so they know what’s available and can compare options before deciding.

Hi! I love that you’re thinking about giving your guests a great food experience — having a two-course meal plus a BBQ sounds like a fun and memorable combination. Burgers and hotdogs are always crowd-pleasers, especially if you offer a few flavorful toppings or sides like grilled veggies, slaw, or loaded fries. You might also consider a few lighter options for guests who prefer something less heavy. Great ideas so far — your guests are going to love it!

You’re definitely overthinking this in the sweetest way. After a full two-course meal earlier in the day, most guests won’t be looking for another heavy spread at night. A simple barbecue with burgers, hotdogs, salads, and toppings is actually perfect evening food. It’s easy to eat, familiar, and people can grab something whenever they feel like it without it feeling too formal.

Honestly, this kind of setup is what a lot of places do for casual group catering because it works for all ages and appetites. You can even get ideas for how to round it out from spots that do this style well, like the options you see in the catering section at Applebees . A few extras like sauces, maybe a veggie option, and you’re more than covered.

It sounds relaxed, fun, and budget-smart, which is exactly what you want at the end of a long, happy wedding day.

That actually sounds like a really solid plan, especially considering you’re already serving a full two-course meal earlier in the day. Most guests won’t expect something overly heavy again in the evening, so a barbecue setup with burgers, hotdogs, and sides is usually more than enough and keeps things relaxed and enjoyable.

If you’re worried about variety, you could consider adding one or two simple extras like a veggie option, grilled chicken, or even a light side like coleslaw or pasta salad.

It doesn’t have to increase your budget much, but it can make guests feel like there’s something for everyone. Also, evening food at weddings is often more about convenience and comfort rather than a full meal.

Many curated food platforms such as Menu Pakistan often highlight similar practical menu ideas for events, where the focus is on balancing cost, variety, and guest satisfaction rather than overcomplicating things.

Honestly, you’re on the right track—your plan sounds thoughtful, budget-friendly, and perfectly suitable for a wedding eveningSmiley sexy

Congratulations on your wedding! A two-course hot meal followed by a pudding already gives your guests a lovely, filling experience after the ceremony. Choosing a simple barbecue for the evening is actually a great idea—it's relaxed, social, and perfect for guests who’ll be mingling, dancing, and enjoying the celebration.

Burgers, hotdogs, buns, bacon, onions, cheese, sauces, and salad are more than enough for evening food, especially since everyone has already eaten earlier. Most guests don’t expect another full meal at night—just something tasty and easy to grab. A BBQ setup also creates a fun, informal atmosphere that people really enjoy.

You’re being practical with your budget while still offering good food, and that’s completely okay. Guests will remember the happiness, the music, and the celebration far more than the menu details.

By the way, if you’re checking food ideas and prices for gatherings, I found this helpful resource for updated options: Auntie Anne’s Menu.
