Food options

R&C, 19 October, 2022 at 08:19 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hey guys! So I'm not someone who likes a lot of attention, even getting married and people staring at me is already freaking me out, so what are some things you have done for your food afterwards?

It'll only be around 20-25 of us at the ceremony and food, we'll have a big party type thing later on in the year where all family and friends will be invited. I don't really want to go to a restaurant where everyone will watch us arrive and go to a party room. I've thought about a catering van to come to our house but then that's organisation for me to get the house looking wedding-worthy.
Any suggestions on what you've done?
Thanks 😊

First of all, people are not going to stare at you any more at a restaurant than they are when they see you going into your ceremony venue, so if that's the only thing that is putting you off, then go for the restaurant!

Alternatively, you could look at hiring a village hall/community hall. They are usually reasonably priced, and you could get a catering van to come there instead of to your home. Or get caterers in to do it.

It sounds like you’re planning a calm and meaningful celebration, which is a great approach. Keeping the food simple and low-key—such as private catering, a home-style setup, or easy takeaway—can help you enjoy the day without stress. You could even use the KfcMenuPhilippines menu guide for convenient, crowd-pleasing options that keep everything relaxed and comfortable

A low-key option could be choosing somewhere casual and familiar where you won’t feel like all eyes are on you, like booking a quiet corner or going at an off-peak time with your small group. Something like the Harvester menu can work well for this kind of relaxed post-ceremony meal because it’s simple, varied, and doesn’t come with the formal “big entrance” vibe. Another idea is doing something like a private dining space at a small local venue, or even arranging a takeaway-style buffet from a place everyone enjoys, so it still feels celebratory without being overwhelming. With only 20–25 people, even a cosy pub-style setting or a family-style meal at a rented cottage could give you the calm atmosphere you want, and then you can save the bigger party energy for later in the year.
