For everyone who is having/ had charity pins as favours....

nicandeuan, 10 October, 2008 at 23:26 Posted on Planning 0 9

How did you present them? Did you put them in boxes or bags? Or just as they are?

Thanks

Nic

I'm not having any favours but just thought I'd answer anyway ? there's been lots of ideas on here. How about pinning them onto their placecards at the table if you are having them? Or little envelopes would be a nice but cheap way to present them, like the ones you get the message card in with a bouquet of flowers. Those little organza bags that a lot of people have for favours would look pretty too.

We had them on our placecards. I printed out cards with a box shape next to the name and then pinned the badge in the middle of the box. I also wrote on the back why we had chosen to have them. Can't find a pic of them though, sorry!

I have seen them presented in organza bags, the bags also had sprinkles of glittering heart confetti inside, looked very nice.

We've put ours in little brown pillow boxes, with some choc dragees in as well.

Alice - can I ask you for how you worded the reason you had chosen them as I want to do that but cant think of the wording!!

    Hi nic,

We had cards made for the ladies favours explaining that we had a made a donation to breat cancer uk with the pin attached to it as a keep sake.

    Like this mock up: -

The mens charity key rings came in a cellophane bag with a note from everyman cancer on their work researching cures for male only cancers.

    HTH

    Luv Victoria

    xx

We're having them in a heart shaped bowl next to the guest book... may do a little card to let people know that they're the favours. We've got a bowl of mini love hearts too so will do the same for that also.

Sorry Masal, I've only just come back to this.

    I put

We have made a donation on your behalf to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Please accept this lapel pin as a gift from us to you.

Then Paul in his speech mentioned the fact that he had spent a lot of time there as a 10 year old and how we felt it had been fitting to support them in this way. I have found the template that I used which looks very plain but did look good once the pins were on them.
