We got married in church at 3.30pm , ceremony was 45mins , we only had photos outside the church & back at the venue.

Everyone was seated for 5.30pm & eating , not sure how but thats how it worked out , we had 70 day guests & another 130 evenning guests.

Evenning guests were arriving from 8pm , night buffet out at 9pm , first dance wasn't until 9.30pm , i would have liked it a little earlier but it all worked out well.

Ours is at 4pm at that is all we could get, so have very tight timings

    Ceremony 4pm

    Leave Church 5.15

    Arrive Venue 5.30

Quick Photos and reception drinks upto 6pm

    Wedding Breakfast 6 - 8

Evening Reception Guests arrive at 8pm

The tog has very kindly agreed to do some more photos while the room is being turned around.

We are having approx 50 - 60 to the day and 80 for the evening

    I was a 1.30pm wedding so a bit earlier.

Being a catholic do and having several hymns, we were at the church until just before 3pm.

We put a coach on between venue and church and I think most people were at the reception by about 3.30pm/3.45pm.

We sat down to eat just before 5pm.

Hi Royalty, our plans are as follows:

    2pm service

Arrive at venue at 3.30/3.45pm, then reception drinks and photos

5.15pm - 7.30pm sit down, speeches, toast and cutting of cake

    7.45pm evening guests arrive

    8.30pm first dance

    9.30pm evening buffet

    Hope this helps. xx

We got married at 3pm and were there with the ceremony and photos etc until about 4:30. But then we didnt have a sit down meal, we had drinks and nibbles served at 5 at the reception place, then the buffet came out at 6:30 and the disco came on at 7.

We couldn't afford to pay for a sit down do for all the 85 guests we had, but as we had a lot of people travelling a fair way for the day, we decided to start later and just invite everyone to everything. We found it worked really well in the end as there wasn't really a timetable and we were both really chilled out and enjoying ourselves.

And we saved ourselves a fair bit of money and spent it on the honeymoon ;-)
