    helloooooooooo...

im gonna make my own. Gonna get a HUGE sheet of card (A1 i think..) and all my tables will be typed on to sheets of A4 which will be stuck to the card. The card is gonna get jazzed up, not leaving it plain.... i fink it will be, what they call, 'a piece of piss' so dont be afraid!! I made a mock plan first on the pc. Go on, get arty!

Pretty much what teehee said - I did the same...

Big sheet of A4 (although if you need to stand it on an easel type thing, make sure you get card that'll actually stand up under its own weight, not bend!)..... I just listed the names for the tables rather than doing a literal layout. Long slices of coordinating card, printed with names, stamped a few hearts out using a little x-cut stamp to add some decoration and that was that!

Its the one thing I didn't get a photo of, dur! But it was just stuck up on the wall - I included a seating plan in my Order of Day anywho so folk could see early on who they were sat with and maybe 'make friends' before dinner!

We have a DIY table plan kit that can be used for those looking to be creative and make their own professional looking table plans - please see DIY Table Plans or alternatively for help, advice or inspiration please have a look at www.yourtableplan.co.uk (we also make bespoke table plans). The DIY table plans can be designed to suit your colour, style or theme and can be embellished accordingly.

    Good luck with everything.

    Hiya

I make all my table plans using artists box canvas. Much better than card, as even mountboard (i.e thick card) will bend & warp

I use triple primed canvas, from an artists supplier, but you can now get blank canvas in Au Naturelle , Dunelm Mill & Argos!

I'm pretty sure it's not the triple primed canvas, and the canvas isn't the same quality as I use, but it will be fine.

BTW I got your email and will reply in a bit

    Hello,

The theme for our wedding is board games each table is a different name of a game, e.g. cluedo, monopoloy, hungry hippos. We have made all of the name cards to suit the tables, e.g. on the rapiddough table we made guests names from air drying clay and painted them etc.

On the table plan we made a border from a monopoly board and then replaced the names of properties with places where we've been to, met, etc. in the middle of the board is each table name and guests below. it is based on A1 card and paper. The total cost was only about £5-£12. If u want to see what it looks like let me know

WOW! Can I see a picture because that sounds amazing! I'm not doing anything as creative as that, but I'd love to see what it looks like!

We've got a huge piece of denim look mount board, a few gorgeous paper flowers and some vintage buttons to make ours with, and OH is a joiner so he's making a frame to stop it bending. I'm going to print off the list of people at each table, along with our names and date to stick at the top. Sounds random, but our entire wedding is random!

I should really make a start on it tonight, less than 3 weeks to go!

I "borrowed" a piece of presentation board from work and then printed table names and guests names off Excel and layered over paper printed with "Wedding" multiple times and silver vellum. H made the table decs which were metal pieces of armour and we took photos of them and placed them next to the appropriate table name & list. Headed it all up with our names & the date in large font and the top table horizontal with names in the correct order.

I am going to use an Artists Canvas, covered in handmade paper as a base then decorated to suit. I have found a lovely font called "insula" which looks like it has been hand written, so going to print out the tables on my pc and take it from there.

i am making ours from a photoframe from Pounstretcher! i got one of those frames that have lots of holes for photos within the same frame (i know what i mean!!) i am going to print lists and bits on lovely paper and put them in instead of photos. we are having sunflowers for our main flower so have got a few card toppers too that i will put on the board between the glass.

anyhow as we are only having a small do- will be perfect. It has 3 landscape cut outs running top to bottom in the middle. The top one will hold something along the lines of "Welcome to our wedding" the middle one will have a photo of us in and the bottom one will have "date, venue etc" around these three in the centre are portrait "holes" where we simply print a list of names for each table that will slip in"

    cant wait to start it!

I think the ladies have it all sorted for you. Look at a shop like The Range,Hobbycraft or even Wilkos in their craft sections for A1 mounting board. For a simple and easy look, go to a fabric shop and buy lengths of ribbon to match your colours which you could easily glue around the edges to create a border, there are so many things you could. The one piece of advice I would give you though is check with the venue how it will be displayed. Some venues have easels for portrait, some for landscape. Some don't have any, so check how it will be displayed before you make it.
