full church vows (scotland)

QueenBee, 8 September, 2008 at 15:38 Posted on Planning 0 3

Does anyone have the scottish marriage ceremony wording?

I'm from NI and now live in scotland. I would like to know what the full vows are for the church of scotland.

OH and i were talking about them a few nights ago and i was wondering what is actually included.

We would like to say the "with my body i honour you etc and faithful unto you" bits rather than the shorter version of "I xxxx take you as my lawful wedded husband"

Our minister is away for a month so cant ask him.

Thanks

Not sure if this helps. I know that there isn't anything that you HAVE to say to make the wedding legal in Scotland, but I'm guessing that different churches will have different traditional vows. Sorry I can't help any more
