Gammon joint - cooking time help!

I've got a 1.8kg gammon joint that I am cooking later on. I was planning on cooking in foil on gas 3 for about 2 hours and then uncovering, removing skin, glazing and cooking on gas 7 for another 30 mins.

Does that sound about right? I've never cooked a gammon before!

    Sounds about right. I usually do it like that but last week did the Nigella ham in coke it was so simple and everybody commented on how delicious it was.
