Garden party / BBQ hen do

Hi everyone

I'm not really a going out and raving sort of person and I'd prefer to be with all of my mates for a low-key hen party. I've thought of having a BBQ to make things much easier and cheaper for people. The only thing I'm a bit worried about at the moment is finding a garden big enough to hold it!

My question is if we were to find somewhere, then hire/book things to make it fun (hot tub, butler in the buff, lawn furniture etc), would it be fair to ask everyone to chip in. Ultimately it would be cheaper than a night out so if we were to split any costs evenly, do you think that's fair?

    I think thats very reasonable to ask for a contribution toward the night- especially if hiring a Jacuzzi, butler etc. Do any BM's/hens have a large enough garden? Is there a nearby park you could have a picnic in then go back to someones house for a pampering session/sleep over?

    Hens would pay for any other hen do so i can't see it being a problem Smiley smile x

    I'm a firm believer that the Hen (or stag) doesn't pay for their hen / stag party. It's normally covered by the others (although I understand this doesn't always work out this way).

    I think it would be perfectly fair for you to not be a penny out of pocket! If you were going away for a spa weekend then your friends would all pay!

    My friend had a slumber party that was brilliant! We made cocktails, listened to music, played stupid games and giggled ALOT. All in our PJ's. Was brilliant!
