Are you getting married by a registrar or having a religious wedding. There are different requirements. Do you have a venue?

Sorry, I just saw from your title that it says registry office! So you need to book the registry office and registrar where you want to get married and then between a year and two months before the date of your ceremony, you need to give notice where you live. (And you have to pay for both of these things.)
