Hi

We’re getting married next year in Portugal, but will have a legal registry office wedding here first. My plan was to just wear a nice dress, no flowers or fuss as I don’t see this as our ‘wedding day’. But my partner thinks we should still make special. What have others done in this situation? Thank you

Can you do something in the middle? Wear a nice dress (maybe one that you could wear on your honeymoon later) and if you wanted flowers, you could get a supermarket bouquet for under £5. And then push the boat out for your 'real wedding'. It is the moment you legally become married, so I can understand your OH wanting to mark it.
