Getting ready morning food?

Senel, 23 January, 2024 at 20:01 Posted on Planning 0 2
Hello everyone,

I have quite a large bridal party and I’d like to have food for us whilst we are getting ready the morning of. Our caterers aren’t able to accommodate but they said we could use their fridge to store anything beforehand. Does anyone know what a good amount of food or what to provide would be? I was thinking about ordering some pre made sandwiches as it’s something substantial but they would be made from the day before. All ideas welcome! We won’t have access to a kitchen or any tools.
Thank you!

I usually just see snack type finger food, maybe crisps, triangle sandwiches /- easier to eat but nothing squishy going to drip out on you. Although you will be eating earlier than when you are in your dresses I often see the bride or brides maid wants just one more bite of that sandwich.

I think I see a lot left over - that's why I know what is normal so seems nerves dampen the appetite but you should try and eat something.

A lot depends on if you are all staying at the same place and can have a good breakfast of anything before the hair and makeup starts or you are all meeting at the venue with just a few hours to go.

I have heard that it is good to have lighter foods in the morning before the wedding and something to keep you feeling energised but at the same time keep you going until you get to eat again. If you know certain foods make you bloated definitely skip those too. Also read it is good to avoid too salty or spicy food, and also foods high in sugar. As for drinks, skip on coffee, which can give you the jitters and aggravate you.

Maybe have some granola/muesli and yogurts with fruits, veggies and dips, oatmeal, some eggs/omelettes, avocado toast, smoothies, etc.
