GHD upgrade is it worth it?

Hi girls

looking for some advice. I love my GHDs and they still work and are functional - but they are at least 7 years old.

Do the new ones have better technology? I would like a new set but if there is no difference then it wouldn't make sense to upgrade with a functioning pair of GHDs

any advice?

    If they still work and do a good job I wouldn't replace them for the sake of it.

    Don't do it, I gave away my old pair to the MIL and upgraded and they are not the same, no where near as hot. Save your money till your need to.

    I upgraded a while ago from the first wide plate ones to the newer slimmer ones. I can't tell the difference in how the newer ones might be better.

    Thank you - I have the wider ones and they are ace but just old

    that will save me some money till they bust

    I have the old wide ones too.

    they are over 8 years old now (got them when I finished college) and I will be using them until they break.

    If you're going to get new ones, get ones where you can adjust the temp (not GHD's) as it's better for your hair. I took that advice from my hairdresser and my hair is in much better condition!
