Here's an alternative......a DJ in your area who does ceilidh dancing as well as a disco including instruction for the dances and calling..... http://www.qualitydiscos.co.uk/discoCeilidh.html

Our venue recommends Kilter. We're not having a band but we saw them play briefly at our venue and they sounded fab. All quite good looking in their kilts too!?

I'll second that, Kilter are fab. Caller and accordionist Ross looks totally swoonsome in a kilt too, one way to guarantee a packed floor anyway! ?

But they are genuinely a fantastic and entertaining ceilidh band. They have one of the best keyboard players I've ever seen. Just don't tell H as he thinks that I think he's the best keyboard player in the world ?

Not sure they are modern but I'm having http://strictly-piping.com/ who have come highly recommended. We are having a piper and drummer.

Another vote for Kilter and Fudge Machine as I know work colleagues who have used them but haven't heard them myself.
