glass cloche place settings anyone?

never seen any like these but have you tried looking for small glass bells ? they may have the same shape but you could remove the bell and use them like above

Good idea Bruce... I will try but I think they are in the US so maybe they are not available in the UK

I've just bought a Christmas decoration from asda for £2 and its a glass dome over a tree and little house. They are sitting on a cardboard base that is glued on, the glue is covered with thin tinsel garland. I am going to try to pull it apart, somehow remove the glue, and put a new base on it sealing in some shells from our honeymoon. Can't flash an image as I'm on my ipad but here's a link - could work?
