Glassware hire

Sarah, 3 October, 2024 at 07:36 Posted on Etiquette and Advice 0 2
H there can anyone help with my glassware hire dilemma. We need to hire all wines glasses, champagne flutes etc and quotes are coming in really high. Please can anyone suggest alternatives or cheaper ways? My fiancé wants to use disposable plastic cups/ glasses but I’m not sure! Thank you

Remember the cost includes delivery/ collection and washing, not sure how they deal with breakages. Glass is the most environmentally efficient option.

It may not work for you but there have been some on here who have sourced ther glass from charity shops and then re- donated afterwards. You need to start collecting in plenty of time though.

I shot a wedding and they had written on the glasses with the couples names and date and mix and matched the glasses and you pick one and keep it for the day and take it home as a wedding favour gift.

There is a website called freecycle, you sign up for your local area and people give stuff away. Or you can ask for things and sometimes you are lucky xx
