'Going away outfit'?

Our reception venue is within walking distance to our home, but it's occurred to me that I probably won't want to be walking the streets late at night in my wedding gown, and I would resent paying for transport for that journey. My 5yo DD pointed out that I could take a bag of clothes to change into, bless her, but I'm not sure what sort of thing/tone to take. We're going for an informal feeling wedding, and I'm not normally very girly, but I couldn't bring myself to throw on my usual jeans. What's anyone else wearing/worn?

Hi, I've not got this problem as doing it all in one place and staying over but in your position I would absolutely keep my wedding dress on and wear it home.

Maybe you can prepare a skirt that convinient to walking in the streets .
