Going to a concert at Wembley Stadium - any top tips?

Janna, 3 June, 2009 at 08:10 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

I got my TT tickets through at the weekend (woohoo!)

I've never been to a concert at Wembley Stadium before and wondered if anyone with more experience had any top tips? We've got standing tickets, gates open at 4pm and there's 4 of us travelling form Kent.

What time should we get there for half-decent view? Anywhere to eat? Best place to stand? Best wat to travel? That kind of thing....

?

Is it definitely at the stadium, and not the arena?

Hmm depends really, I would imagine as they are quite popular and they are sold out that I would get there as early as you can tbh.

Also, where are you coming from? If outside of London can I suggest that you make sure you leave if going by train by 10.45 at the latest. Wembley is shocking to leave and the tube network isn't as good as going to the O2. We got stuck after a Madonna concert at Wembley station for 40 mins and missed our last train home due to them not being that organised, plus she overran...

    I'm going on 1st July <squeal>

My advice is the same as Kazmerelda - getting out of Wembley after a concert is hellish, so if you havea train to catch, you'll probably have to leave early if you have any chance of getting it.

Thanks all. Yep it's definitely the stadium. I'll check with the others whether we're going to stay over or not.

Wonks - I'm going on the 3rd. Squeeeeeeeel!

I'm going on the 5th. I've booked car parking though as I didn't fancy the scrum to the tube station and the risk of missing my last train.

I did it through here http://www.csparking.com/

There seems to be Jubilee line closures on the 5th so they have discounted the parking to £15.

Excellent (about the discount, not the closures?), thank you.

I have one lot of tickets. We ordered another lot from seetickets and they haven't come yet (all for 1/7, we both ordered at the same time, without knowing the other person was ordering)
