I love the charity brooches as favours idea. And the bridesmaid bracelets are super cute too.

Wahhhhhh pleased to report all DIY is complete.... 4 weeks today!!! And hen do 1 week today!!!

Gah! How are you so organised?!?! I don't think I spotted your cake pics before, lovely mix, it'll look lovely. This extra long weekend is wedding task central in our house to try and get stuff done!It all looks amazing, I can't believe how quickly time is going, it'll all be real very soon!

I was so relieved to get to the bottom of your post and see that your wedding is only 3 weeks away, I was getting waves of anxiety thinking of all the stuff I haven't done! Thanks so much for sharing. Your wedding looks beautiful, and the thread is inspirational. You have lovely attention to detail.

Thanks guys - honestly I am the least 'arty' person you'll ever meet, and when I first decided to DIY bits of the wedding, I thought it would end in disaster/ look like infant school homework!

However it is amazing what pads and pads of beautiful craft card can do, as well as hours and hours and hours of double sided tape removal.....

My advice to brides behind me, start your DIY early, it takes longer than you imagine, but the result and costsaving is totally worth it!

I'm so glad I am 27 days away and can say almost everything is done. I need to pay a few balances, book a nails appointment, wash and dry my extensions for the big day, write the thank you cards, post our music selection to our dj. THAT IS IT!!!!

Plus now I can just relax between now and the hen do to valencia on thursday. And I have a second hen which my family are throwing on the 10th may! I'm off work from the 8th so got almost a week before the wedding if something else does crop up, however me and OH have already planned a trip to Thorpe Park two days before the wedding to whizz around on rollercoasters and forget the wedding for a day

And for those that have been following the story of my grandads health, he has been in and out of hospital again recently, had another blood tranfusion this week and seems a lot better for it. The cancer is slowly taking over, but when I saw him yesterday he is counting down the days until our big day. It's been touch and go whether he'll make it but he is one stubborn man and I can feel the positivity coming from him. Keeping everything crossed he'll be well enough on the day to see his first grandchilds wedding.

Thanks DCM, my OCD is having a minor panic that the cake doesnt match the topper, but we love the topper so much! Our cake lady replied to my latest email within 24 hours, a record for her!! Looks like she might deliver after all!! I guess the cake is something you dont really think about until just before the wedding.

Haha the last minute irrational panics are setting in for me too! It will look fine and the topper looks brilliant, glad the cake lady is getting quicker!

And I've got everything crossed that your granddad is able to go, I bet he's loving hearing all about your plans

Hi goldpants, I saw you were getting married at valuty manor? We have been trying to look around here for a few days but not been able to contact then yet! I was wondering if they were expensive? I can't find any prices on their website, and I don't want to keep trying if they are well out I our price range! Any info you could give us would be much appreciated. Thanks

So sorry brown diamonds I must have missed your comment! I'm sure it's is irrelevant now, but as we booked in 2012 our prices would probably differ anyway!

You know it's getting close when you spy a good luck thread, cant believe it is actually my turn to have a good luck threa wwwhhhhaaatt?!

My hen do in Valencia is all but a distant dream now.... absolutely crazy weekend, 5 hours sleep in three nights, man those Valencians can party!!! I would recommend it to anyone looking to go away on the hen but not somewhere too 'obvious'. Turns out there were a few british stags there too, although a very nice crowd, and we were the only hens in the city!

Just the most amazing weekend, and love my seven friends to bits for making it so special (and wild!)

Now in recovery!!

Today was spent sorting out the odd little bits - bought these cheap fun medals for pub quiz winners as want to keep it a bit of fun and not get too competitive!! Should make for a fun table photo anyway!

Also have been keeping one eye on the weather forecast, it is umming and ahhing between showers and sunshine.... so bought a pink heart umbrella today from ebay which i'm actually a little over excited by... i actually wish for a little shower!!
