If you had the chance to take some cake home with you (as a guest) which would you prefer.....

a) A proper, greaseproof cake bag

b) a fetching plain brown paper bag (my envelopes were brown envelopes)

c) a designed paperbag

d) a blue and white stripe paperbag

e) you best satin handbag Smiley smile

keeping in mind my theme

Personally I think the brown paper bags sound lovely I can picture them all lined up on a tray waiting to be taken home at the end of a night!

Oooo now thats interesting..... maybe I could print something on the front of the bag?

Leave it plain? I was going to have it more as a 'help yerself' thing but maybe giving some on the way to the coaches would be nice.... cake for breakfast, yum!

WSS! and also one that's secure so it doesn't fall into my lovely satin handbag.

Go for a nice thick brown paper bag! I had some plastic ones and ended up bringing a load home as the cake got scoffed...i could've recycled them if paper but didn't think of that!

Plus...if they fit with your theme they're the way forward :-)

This is a maybe a bit too much effort for what it's worth.....

....You could decorate the bags and sort out your secure bag issue, by printing your monogram onto sticky labels and getting the person who will cut the cake and bag it, to fold the top over and pop the label on the flap.

I'm liking yout thinking Oohla. I have bought paperbags suitable for food use so they have a slight greaseproof to them, like the ones you get in fruit n veg shops..... all for the grand price of £2.

I'll look into labels - im making my hen invites at the moment, theres NO stopping me!!

Moo.com do stickers - I ordered mine last night! You get 90 for £4.99 and can get as many different pictures on them as you want.

And I like the sound of brown paper bags too!

Doggy bags are such a good idea Teehee, and I love the idea of the sticky label with monogram on to secure the bag. We will have way too much cake compared to guest numbers too, just cos I want a 3 tier cake (but its just from M&S so not gonna break the bank anyway). Permission to pinch the doggy bag idea?
