Great Conservatory at Syon Park

RomanticBrownCakes613, 6 July, 2016 at 09:11 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hello!

I really wish I could get some help and advice.

I live in Egypt and we decided to have a destination wedding in London in October. I lined up a bunch of venues and booked appointments and visited London and the Great Conservatory at Syon Park is by far the best option.

I need all the info that I can get! Do I need a planner? How about an on the day wedding coordinator? Is all of this doable via email? Any help with the best caterers from their suppliers list? Florists you recommend? Any experiences with wet weather at Syon Park?

Is the flooring comfortable for dancing or will I need a dance floor?

I read that we need to hire our own heaters. I asked them and they said they'll take care of ordering them we just need to pay for them. Any troubles with that in the past?

Any advice from brides would be great!

Thanks!

    Hi

No experience personally of Syon Park - although I have been told its a beautiful venue - but maybe you could 'like' their page on facebook (assuming they have one)/follow them on twitter - you may find that other brides/grooms will be doing the same and you can get chatting and ask them of their experiences?

    Good luck!

    Hello & congratulations!

I would imagine with a venue like Syon Park they'd provide an on the day co-ordinator & an events planner for you to co-ordinate everything through.

Picking things like caterers & florists etc is probably something better done face to face as you get a good feel for the people behind the website for example - would it be feasible to visit for a weekend & try & book appointments for your time here in advance so you can meet lots of people over the weekend & use that as a guide?

I am sure there will also be people local to Syon Park on here that may also have recommendations on suppliers in the area.

    Good luck!

This is literally of no help, but I was a bridesmaid there in 1986, and I remember (being told) that everyone had an utterly superb day, and if it was that good in '86, it can only have gotten better one would hope?
