Grey hair

WickyWack, 30 March, 2015 at 20:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

I've noticed 2 hairs in the past few days. I'm totally not okay about this! I'm 27! I'm not ready for this!?

If it makes you feel any better, my daughter has had grey hairs since she was 5.

Don't worry too much. Due to a genetic quirk I started to go grey at 15 - people used to ask me if I did the streaks myself they were quite noticeable on dark brown hair.

Colour is your friend, and done right the greys, once coloured, will provide highlights without the extra effort.

I started noticing greys when I was about 17, was having to dye and would get roots by about 25. I reckon if I went natural now it'd be full on salt and pepper! I'm over it (til I'm not again).

I'm lucky and only have an odd couple around my temples. When I grew out my red colour I was worried there would be loads hiding under there, but thankfully not. And I pull them out, even though you're not supposed to.

I've been dying mine since I was 23 as the grey is too noticeable on dark hair. My sister started going grey at 16! Bad hair genes!

I grew mine out after years of colouring when I was 28-ish. Salt & Pepper was the right description - coloured up not long after that.

A decade on and I've gone blonde now and will probably try a lovely auburn soon.

I have grey hairs around my temples where it is most noticeable. I had a few hairs since my teens but at 32 it is really noticeable if I don't dye it every 3-4 weeks. You are not alone. It is a massive pain too and hair dye is blumin' expensive!

I have been going grey since I was 17.

My H is 40, and has only just started going grey.

I get the odd one or 2, so I just pull them out at the moment. My dad is still salt and pepper, so i'm hoping I'll get those genes! Ive never dyed my hair and hope to keep it that way for as long as possible. H has a couple now, but is quite fair so they're not really noticeable.

I started noticing them along my parting line when I coloured my hair dark. I don't see them now I've gone back to blonde, so I've decided they weren't grey after all - they were ask blonde! (It makes me feel better even if it is delusional!)

I found my first one (well, my sister did!) the morning after my wedding!

I've only had about 5 since then, so I'm not doing too badly. H has loads, but as his hair is a mousy sort of colour it's not immediately obvious.

Hopefully they don't pop up too frequently! My H thought it was hilarious. He's started to go grey, and yes, I agree LalaC, it is quite hot!

I found my first last year and was really quite shaken by it. Didn't get any sympathy from OH. He's totally grey. I like it on him! not so much on self.

Luckily I don't think I'm going grey yet - BUT I did find a grey eyebrow hair a few weeks ago. Well it was either grey or a very white-blonde one which is very random in my fairly dark brows! Needless to say that was plucked out immediately!

I have been going grey since 30, they have got a lot worse in the last 2 years. A school friend started going grey at 16. My best friends Mum didn't start going grey until she was in her 60's which is so impressive
