Guest Book - what do people write in it??

It's pretty much what people will write in their cards - have a wonderful future, you're truly great friends, we couldn't wish for a nicer day for you.... etc.

We're not having a guest book as they tend to get started then it fizzles out and you end up with a book full of empty pages. We will be putting all our cards into an album instead.

First time around we took instant pics (on a mini poloroid camera) of everyone and stuck it in a book then they the guests put a message underneath their photo, that was fun!

I normally write what a good time I've had, thank them for letting me be part of their day, put my favourite part of the day so far etc. H2b normally draws a rude, child like, drawing. Then I scribble ot the rude bits and apologise on his behalf ?

It is very similar to what is written in cards. We'll be having one though.

(Future)MrsLord put some really good instructions in the front of hers which included things lik share your favourite recipe, some advice for their marriage, their favourite part of the day etc.

ETA The difference between cards and the guest book is the cards are (generally) written before the day, whereas the guest book is written towards the end of the evening and people can share their experiences of the day with you.

She did? I didn't see that. Mr Lord's brother brought it round already open and got us all to sign it.

I think it was her, it was black and pink which sounds like her..off to check now!

Well, I guess that defeats the object if you didn't even notice ?

Wasn't given an option to notice! ? Mr Lord's brother even opened it to the page he wanted me to sign on; wouldn't let me sign on the same page as the friends I was sitting with!
