Hi everyone

I'm getting married later this year, fairly intimate wedding (50 people - family, friends, and work colleagues). I've sent out the 'save the date' cards and I'm going to order invitations soon. We are having a wedding blessing in a church and then reception elsewhere. Do you invite all your guests for both ceremony and the reception or some guest like people from work come only for the reception?

I'm originally not from the UK. Where I come from people expect to participate in the ceremony and reception.

I think it depends on background. As long as you are clear what people are being invited to, it's ok to do either, but it's more usual to invite to the ceremony and reception together where I am from (sometimes, if people are having a formal 'wedding breakfast' followed by an evening event, guests they don't know so well or who live locally are invited to the ceremony and the evening do, while only close friends & family go to the formal meal).
