That's great - ours is pretty much sorted but I was umming and aahing over a friend from uni for a while (not spoken properly in years) so this sums it up perfectly I think, completely agree!

Wish we had this when putting together our guest list..that was a painful process with 22 biological aunts & uncles! Decided to go for friends over less than immediate family in the end.

Yes my dad is 1 of 16 & mum 1 of 8..over 50 first cousins, god knows how many second ones haha! For me it was all about who I wanted to be there & I felt I had a good excuse..there being too many to choose from!! Poor OH felt obliged to invite family over friends as he comes from a considerably smaller brood!!

SI think it is nice not to split guests at the ceremny. For ours it is more a pick a seat not a side scenario..we tried to divvy up invites equally between us and luckily have quite a few mutual friends.

We have 74 for the day & an extra 50 in the evening. .split as fairly as possible!

Haha brilliant! We followed these rules and that's why we've ended up with 20 down to 17 day guests ?
