Gym ladies, another clothing Q, VPL!

Sunset21, 21 April, 2008 at 10:50 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

Thanks for all the recs. last week about gym gear, I bought these and I'm pleased with them, I don't get half as hot as I do in the trackie bottoms I used to wear. I'm going to get some 3/4 ones when i've been paid I think.

http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/product/B0011TMQB0/sr=1-2/qid=1208771030/ref=sr_1_2/026-1117890-1935609?ie=UTF8&node=42966030&m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&keywords=pants&mnSBrand=core&size=9&rh=&page=

anyway, my question is, just looking around at the gym no-one else has a vpl but I do [:I] The trousers are fairly snug until they widen at the knee so obv. there's going to be some knicker line showing. Does everyone else go commando ([xx(]) or are they all wearing thongs? (sounds painful IMHO)[?]

Def commando for me.....I don't understand why anyone would pay money for 'breathable' trousers and then keep their poor foo-foo encased in sweaty knickers ?

Really? hmmm, I was thinking my bouncy bum is at least being held in by knickers rather than offending anyone's eyes.

I don't usually wear pants for gym/running either. I've worn thongs sometimes and they're not uncomfortable. Or you could get some VPL-free pants? Sloggi I think do them. But I wouldn't bother personally.

If anyone looks at your 'bouncing bum' and is offended by it then they are obviously not working out hard enough...?

Well if everyone is going knicker free then I will too, the trousers go straight in the wash bin anyway. I wear Sloggis at the moment, just for the gym but they're just normal knicker style.

It never occurred to me that people go commando at the gym. I'm so naive [:I]

I wear seam free shorts type knickers. I got them from Tesco and they were really cheap. I couldn't stand the thought of my bottom bouncing around without a bit of extra coverage.

    Same here!

I just wear whatever knickers I've had on that day, it never occurred to me to worry about VPL and I'm sure I often have it.

I couldn't go knickerless. Sometimes my trousers/shorts slip down at the back when I bend over and I really don't want my personal trainer (or anyone else for that matter but he's most likely to be close enough to notice) getting an eyeful of my backside.

Qq for the knickerless - If you're wearing tight trousers/shorts with no knickers does it not result in a rather obvious cameltoe?

? at the cameltoe question, now I have the cameltoe (Cocomo) song in my head ?

I'm naive too Jelly Baby. I wouldn't usually wear such snug fitting trousers but i've lost weight and i'm feeling less self conscious but I did notice the VPL now that I'm wearing tighter/thinner trousers which made me notice everyone else and the fact that they didn't have one ? I'm not a perv. honest.

I'm going to be looking out for VPLs at the gym tomorrow night, I surely can't be the only person who has one? Then again, I sweat so much that VPL is really the least of my worries. Even my personal trainer comments on my sweat patches and last week pointed out the rather large puddle of sweat collecting beneath my boobs ? I have no shame though so I thought it was rather funny.

Do people seriously study what others are wearing and think about whether or not that have VPL at the gym?

My god, I am normally a sweating mess racked with pain after about 30 seconds and looking at or worrying about VPL is the last thing on my mind. ?

This is why I've never taken any notice before, I'm curious now though as it hadn't occurred to me that people would specially make an effort to remove VPL ?
