Hair and make up artist cancelled!

So today I messaged my hair and make up artist to see if its possible to move my trial date, my wedding is 31 October this year. She messaged me back saying sorry but she's having to cancel the whole booking!
Now got to try and find one that isn't massively out of my budget, as all the ones with availability seem to be

    This sounds awful! So sorry this has happened! I hope you manage to get sorted and find another artist. My wedding is 31st October next year x

    This happened to me 7 weeks before our wedding! I found a lady on Facebook locally, so maybe try that, Google make up artist near me and see if there are any you like. I did have to pay more as when I booked was in pandemic and they have now all raised their prices so was a pain having to find the extra money. Make sure if you have paid a deposit you get it back ASAP. Wishing you luck x

    That is bad news. It seems like you were right to have worries when in your other post you were concerned that they were being very slow to respond to your messages.

    Did she offer any explanation for the cancel.

    I've found a few I like so fingers crossed they have availability!
    I got my deposit back quickly to happy I didn't have to chase that!!

    Yes, I think I just got bad vibes.
    To me she said bad health, but looking at her reviews from the past few weeks she seems to have cancelled lots and multiple different reasons
