Just wondered if anyone had any reccommendations for hair and make up artists in cheshire/manchester area?

Our daughter used someone from Selfridges in the Trafford Centre. She worked for Illumesque (sp?) make up department. She was £80 two years ago and this included travelling expenses from Manchester to Holmfith in Yorkshire. They have a website and specialise in theatrical make up so don't let this put you off! Our daughter wanted a glamorous look rather than 'girl next door' and had loads of trials but this make up lasted the best and gave the look she wanted:-

I am using a lady called Michelle Sisson http://www.michellesisson.com/ She seems really good, good reviews etc. There are loads of great ones round that area i think, i had trouble choosing. Maybe ask your venue for recommendations as well

She was ace. Really friendly, really helpful in working out what was best for me. And she has some great celebrity stories...

For me, the cost was £200 (or thereabouts) for hair and makeup, for the trial and on the day. She travelled maybe 15 miles (to Knutsford) without requesting any extra.
