Hair and make up let down

Iam so stressed !! My wedding is next Thursday I booked a hair&make up lady for my wedding. I've already had and paid for my trial. Me and two bridesmaids. I texted her this morning to ask when she needed final payment and she replied "I'm surprised to hear from you because you phoned and cancelled, I've got another bride now so won't be doing you". I never phoned her ! why would I cancel ! Infact my last txt to her in April said how excited I was getting and she replied she was too.
I can't believe she's done this to me and my bridesmaids.

    How weird! It's really bad that she accepted a telephone cancellation anyway - far too easy for someone to play a practical joke and pretend to be you.

    Can you put a post on a local social media community page, asking for help? A lot of businesses are very sympathetic to couples who have been let down and will do their best to squeeze you in if it's at all possible. And with your wedding being midweek, you have more chance that if it were a Saturday,

    Sorry to hear this. Must be very stressful. I feel for you. I suppose the only thing is to look for another hairdresser and MUA. My own plan B, if this happens to me, is just to wear my hair down, straighten it and then do my own makeup. Sorry I can't be much help.

    Did you pay her a deposit for your wedding? Or have you just paid for the trial which you've had? If you've paid anything for the day itself then I would be trying to get that back off her. If you didn't call her then she will have no record of you cancelling so it's her that has broken your contract so she shouldn't be able to withhold any deposits.
