I think it kind of depends on you and your hair... for me, I have a lot of layers, and I know they look best after a month or two of growing out so I'm planning on going in for a cut maybe 6 weeks before the wedding.

I also have a fringe, and again, I find I need a week or so after a fringe trim for it to feel optimal for me.

My advice would be maybe have a hair cut now, make a note of the date, and then take stock each week of how much you like it and use that to find your optimal time for a pre-wedding cut?

Thankyou that's good advice, yes I have very think hair so I know it will be good to have it cut now to see how quickly it grows back.

I know what you mean - it's so hard to find wedding hair inspo with fringes! Tbh, I've just excluded it from my inspo search - I have a fringe, I like my fringe, I feel like me with a fringe, so it's staying! - my hair inspo pics are currently boho half up looks with fishtail braids so I'm planning on just taking those to my hair trial along with some photos of myself where I feel like my fringe looks particularly good haha

Also - I'm gonna pop a "Bridal Beauty Box" in the bathroom, and I'll include some dry shampoo and hairspray in case it needs some rejuvinating for the reception!!

A fresh haircut can totally upgrade your look, especially when paired with a stylish style like the low taper fade fringe .
It’s clean, modern, and perfect for anyone who wants a sharp yet effortless vibe.

Timing a haircut before a wedding usually works best about a week in advance, giving the style time to settle while still looking fresh for the big day. Planning grooming details early also helps avoid last-minute stress and ensures everything aligns with the overall look. Platforms like peakgroom can be useful for organizing grooming routines, style ideas, and timelines so everything feels well-prepared and polished.
