Handmade confetti bags

Vikster79, 12 April, 2011 at 14:42 Posted on Planning 0 7

Has anyone one made, or planning to make their own confetti bags. Ive seen some lovely glassine envelope style ones which i would add a personal "sticky" on.

Similar to these (but without the "toss me" bit!)

Liverbird - how big were your bags and what seller did you use? I've found an idea on an American forum for destination weddings to put little packs of tissues out for the ceremony like the pic below and they talk about using Vellum envelopes. Hadn't got round to even trying to source them in the UK, but glassine looks quite similar I think.

These look lovely! I reckon ebay would be a good place to start

Who really would put 'Toss Me' on them though?!!

They were 85 x 117mm + 16mm flap, £2.05 plus £1 p&p from ebay seller bedwynstampsuk, I don't think you'd want them any smaller - in fact I think they could possibly do with being a little bigger but I still reckon that size is about right for a handful of confetti. Vellum is more matte and a little thicker than glassine I think, but they're very similar and I couldn't find vellum envelopes for a reasonable price!
