Hatton Garden jewellers - can anyone recommend one?

Bink, 6 November, 2008 at 13:58 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi
Can anyone recommend one please? One of the diamonds has come out of my wedding ring ☹️ and I need to get it replaced. I can't really go back to the place that made the ring as they are local to where I used to live. I also think I might be able to negotiate a better deal if I go into a couple of Hatton Garden jewellers.
I've also posted on off-topic but thought you ladies organising your wedding/engagement rings may be able to help too.
Thanks in advance.

Hello there and yes i can!

My OH got my engagement ring from one called "D J Thomas at 32 Greville street EC1N 8T" and they were brilliant! He was really impressed with them, recommended to us from another friend who has used them.

    Good Luck & HTHs x

    Hi,

I had my wedding ring made by Unique Rings in Hatton Garden, definitely recommend them and I will be using them again for OH's replacement ring!

We used Channings to have my engagement and wedding rings made. https://www.allinlondon.co.uk/directory/jewellers/8821-channings

The shop is none too fancy but the staff were very helpful and I got exactly what I wanted. Would def recommend.

TBH though I would probably go back, or at least contact, the jeweller you got the ring from. You don't want to pay out for it to be replaced if it is the fault of the setting which they should recify. Worth a call I'd say - you could always courier them the ring if its too far to go?

    Hi Katie Vale

ooh where in Essex is he? I live in Essex (Hornchurch/Romford) - would be handy if he's around that area!

Thanks to you and everyone who's replied on this thread and my one posted on off-topic. I'll look into all recommendations

    Hello

He spends one, possibly two days a week with a "stall" at Special Occasions in Stanford-le-Hope. If you call the shop they will give you more information of when he is there, and may book you an appointment to see him. When it was my 18th, I had a stone that I wanted set, and a rough design in my head, and he made it perfectly for me. 10 years on and I still wear the ring.

Hope this helps - here is the link to Special Occasions: https://www.essexwedding.org/index.html

Let us know how you get on

    K
