Personally I would leave the pine cones off of this one. You could make some big twig hearts and stick a couple pine cones on that, so have some fabric and some made out of wood to mix outside and inside? You could always jazz up the woody ones with gold spray?

Really sweet, what a lovely idea I don't think pine cones are needed, it would clash a little with the feel to it. I would be tempted to put bells or buttons on it or something but I really don't think it *needs* anything at all!

Bells would be a nice touch but not pine cones. You have summed up autumn colours beautifully, I think it's lovely.

Thanks everyone ?. Think I'll leave them as is. I love pine cones, so will have to think up something else to do with them as I think it will make the wreaths too heavy.

This is also on my list ?, especially after OH saw a garland made of twig hearts in Hobbycraft and said he liked them.
