Our wedding venue has just had its food hygiene released as a 2. I have paid them almost four grand is it likely they will give me my deposit back or if not how would I go about this?

I'd speak to them about it and ask why they got a low rating, what they are doing about it and when they are likely to get a retest. You can get a poor rating due to incorrect paperwork. If they are generally well-run, they should be able to get a retest with a higher rating within a few weeks. If not, then would be the time to make a fuss.
