HELP - I need ideas for decorating my candelabra!

In_a_Flap, 13 October, 2008 at 19:39 Posted on Planning 0 6

I need your help ...

I have bought glass candelabras for the table centre for the wedding tables, but I need help with ideas for decorating them

I was initially just going to have little tealights surrounding it, with a single white rosehead in each, but am worried the candelabra will look too bare. Now, I'm thinking that I may have ivy spiralled around the candelabra - HELP!

Have any of you had them for your weddings, and if so, do you have any pictures to give me some inspiration.....

Hiya - got any pics of the candelabras? TBH, I think it's a shame to cover glass ones with ivy. If you've got candles etc around them, once they're lit the light will dance around the glass and look lovely. You won't get the same effect by concealing the glass. How about sitting each on on a mirror plate, which will add even more to the light and sparkle?

Hi, I'm having flowers sitting in the top of my candelabras - kind of ball shaped arrangements of roses and a couple of other flowers (don't know names!) with bits of grasses (don't know name of that either!) in loops and sticking out randomly. The grasses bit sounds mad but gives a bit of greenery without having ivy. I don't like ivy so wanted something a bit different. If you don't have flowers in the top, glass candelabras would look lovely plain or with flowers or just petals round the bottom. I don't think it'd look too plain.

Hello, I am a florist and also getting married but would be happy to advise you! No money involved!

If you send me a picture of them to **************@*****.**.**, I will come up with few ideas.

I like this idea - then the drops would catch the light from the tealights and make it all sparkle even more. I don't think you want to add too much to them, as simple is better as far as I'm concerned with table centres!

I agree - decorating metal candelabras with flowers and foliage etc looks amazing, but don't lose sight of why the glass ones look so special in the first place. Less is more!
