HELP! In LOVE with a dress I don't think I can get anymore )-:

Future MrsB, 10 January, 2014 at 01:06 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hi all! This is my first time posting as i am recently engaged, but i wondering if anyone knew how/if there is anyway of getting old of past season dresses? I'm going to contact a few stockists of the designer that makes the dress and see if they can help but wondered if there was a secret/insider/brides advice that might help. The dress in 'Henderson' by Provinias and i've had it on my Pininterest board for about a year before I was even engaged. I just love it... If there is anything similar that you might have seen please also let me know as i don't want to get y hopes up in finding it; but I think it's the one... Hope you can help xx

Welcome. It's worth trying sites like eBay or preloved as well as phoning up stockists etc. If you haven't tried it on, is definitely recommend just going dress shopping as well. The kinds of dresses I loved before trying on really didn't suit me and what I went for was totally unexpected but perfect. You may find you forget all about it once you try some on.

I was having a similar problem. In the end I contacted the desinger explaining I was having difficulty locating a stockist with the particular dress in for me to try and they came back to me with a list of ones that held that dress. I managed to find a stockist (40 mins drive away) and i'm going a week tomorrow to try it on. Hope this helps and you manage to find it, I know what it feels like when you fall in love with a dress and think you can find it.

What about this one?? http://www.pronovias.co.uk/bridal-dresses-2014/collection-atelier-pronovias-yesel I thought they were the same when googling (though I do see a difference now I look again.)

I have a similar problem in that the dress I love is only available from Melbourne and is about £4k!! (Plus - I don't want full length so would want it drastically altered anyways!) ... so I've done some drawings/designs and intend to speak with some dress makers! I've heard some dress makers will let you source materials yourself too and do the design for you??

Thank you everyone for the wonderful advice. There's a stockist near me in Edinburgh so i'm going to call them and then go from there. I am keeping an eye out for other designs and I like this years collection but I know it'll be out of my budget. I've looked on preloved and ebay but no hits yet! PS If anyone finds it whilst looking please get in touch with me on here. I'm a size 12 x Thank you lovely brides xx

What size are you? I've found this but it's based in America so they'd have to ship it. Gorgeous dress!

Thank you all again ladies for your help. I went and tried a very similar dress on in a boutique after i saw it on eBay and i bought it there and then. I couldn't let anyone else have it! I am now looking for an evening tea length number with straps as the first is a bargain but I won't be able to ceilidh in it! So I figure a second dress is in order! Wish me luck and thank you all so much! xxxx You are all amazing! xxxx
