Hiya

I am English, getting married in England, however my OH is from South Wales and is very proud of his roots.

I dont want a Welsh "theme" but I'd like to include his heritage. but

I really do not like love spoons!!!!

    Hiya

I'm from South Wales too and we added hints of Wales into our wedding without having a Welsh theme ?

We had Penderyn Whiskey and gin as favours as they are distilled in Penderyn in the Brecon Beacons (right opposite our reception venue).

How about adding a daffodil in your bouquet or his button hole? Welsh cakes make great favours also. We also had a Welsh hymn in the ceremony (my favourite - Calon Lan). You can go as subtle as you like really ?

What about a welsh theme to the favours- my Grandma was Welsh and I really fancied giving everybody a heart shaped welsh cake with her recipe as a favour.

Or- how about the table names being Welsh- could be named after places he lived in South Wales and surrounding area or each table could have a new word in Welsh for the table to learn- e.g. welsh word for love.

Trying to think of other ideas!

Snap, I'm English and got married in England, hubby is Welsh. I liked the idea of having tables named after different welsh words, but OH didn't like it. In the end we just incorporated a bit of Welshness into our personalised cake topper and had H wearing a Welsh rugby shirt.
