HELP!! Need a wedding venue in Nottinghamshire

~Curley~, 23 January, 2013 at 11:57 Posted on Planning 0 16

Starting to get stressed out already and havent been looking that long! I need a wedding venue in the Nottinghamshire area. Will be about 60 daytime guests and 80 evening guests. Nothing too expensive though. Friends of mine have used John Fretwell Center and Clumber Park Hotel so would rather not use them

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thankyou

A friend had her reception at Kelham Country Manor Hotel last summer and it was lovely. Not sure if you can have the ceremony there too and no idea of prices, but I'd definitely reccomend having a look. I'm trying hard not to compare any venues I find to that, I loved it so much!

My sister got married at Kelham Hall near Newark in November and that was very reasonable. Woodborough Hall also does some good deals for around £1500 and it's lovely there. Also look at Cockliffe Country House Hotel and Colwick Hall. I also love Norwood Park in Southwell and the Priest House is another favourite but I'm not sure of their prices.

I second Woodborough Hall! Shot a wedding there and the staff were really helpful and professional!

Have you tried Swancar Farm Country House? This is a lovely little country house set down a lovely long drive which gives the setting a private feel. I've word with a few brides there and the staff are lovely and very helpful, the bride's suite has the most amazing views and bathroom!! I believe their prices are very reasonlable and they are very good at letting you decorate the venue as you want.

Here is a link to a blog that features one of my brides that got married there. You can see from the pics its a lovely venue! http://www.savethedatemagazine.co.uk/2012/11/i-thee-wed-lucy-and-danny/

    Good Luck :-)

My work colleague got married here - http://www.roslistonforestrycentre.co.uk/weddings.php

And I am getting married at the Council House (not sure of max numbers but they do have lots of different rooms) in Nottingham and then at the Lace Market Hotel

    https://www.vicarageboutiquehotel.co.uk/page/Packages - this was gorgeous

    Pierrepont Hall was also lovely

    • Albert Hall, Nottingham
    • Bugman's Bar @ The Games Workshop HQ. Nottingham
    • Canal House Restaurant, Nottingham
    • Colwick Hall Hotel, Nottingham
    • Cotgrave Hall, Nottingham
    • Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nottingham
    • Eastwood Hall, Eastwood
    • Holme Pierrepont Hall, Nottingham
    • Langar Hall, Nottingham
    • Romney House, Barnstone
    • Rufford Park, Ollerton
    • Sutton Bonington Hall, Sutton Bonington
    • The Riverbank, Nottingham
    • West Retford Hotel, Retford
    • Woodborough Hall, Nottingham
    • Ye Olde Bell Hotel, Barnby Moor

These are the places I've played in notts (copied straight from my web site Smiley laugh). For smaller numbers and not too expensive, I'd second Woodborough Hall. Also, look into The Riverbank which is a lovely smaller venue.

    Good luck!

I've also done weddings at The West Retford Hotel and it's very close to the A1 which is good for guests who have to travel
