Help!!! Total London wedding venue stress :(

Dina7, 25 September, 2015 at 16:28 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hi everyone!

I'm new to hitched and hoping someone out there can help me with my wedding venue stress ?

Not sure if what I'm looking for doesn't exist in London, but I would love the classic county style house/hotel with gardens for outdoor pictures. Ideally also want rooms/nearby hotel for some guests, freedom to use confetti, good space for 80 - 100 guests...

Am I being unrealistic?

If you have any ideas please let me know Smiley smile

Thank you!!!!

I don't think its unrealistic (although you might struggle with confetti).

Do you have an area preference? looking for a package or dry hire? whats the budget?

I am getting married in a church but my reception venue (which does ceremony's as well) is Dulwich College in South East london.

    which is so stunning. https://www.dulwichevents.com/

    Hey

I think it really depends on the areas in London you want to be in?

There are some amazing venues in and around London that I am sure would tick most (if not all) of your boxes but probably more unlikely in Central London.

There is a section on here for venues which may be worth a look. x

I did a charity its a knock out event here: www.hac.org.uk/events/weddings

It was beautiful, lots of outdoor space and a lovely building.

There's also loads of hotels nearby x

Just on the edge of London towards Surrey way you can get manor houses- but I reckon a good bet is Kew Gardens. In central a lot of the manor style houses in West London and Mayfair regions just go straight onto the street so it's not mega pretty for confetti shots/tend to have no gardens.

Clissold House has lots of green in terms of a park but it's open to the public and there's no set flowers in the garden

It depends exactly what you mean by London. There are dozens of places, and these increase dramatically as you move away from the centre on the city.

What is your criteria? Happy to advise more, although London is a massive areas and knowing if you mean central or the whole of London makes a mahoosive difference......

Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park is a lovely venue with amazing views. Though I'm not sure about confetti rules, and the guests would need to stay at hotels in Richmond I think.

    Smiley smile
