Help with eloping in Rome? Civics ceremony marriage!

I am planning on eloping in Rome at the end of the year. Our hotel & flights are booked. The thing I am struggling with is finding out how to actually get the legal civil ceremony sorted?
There’s every little information on the internet about this unless you’re willing to pay a wedding planner £3000 which is something that just isn’t an option for us.
An anyone able to offer advise on how to get a civil ceremony marriage as uk citizens in Rome? I can’t tell you how much we would appreciate this help!
