Help.....Table Names!

I am not having any as we only have three tables!

But, popular ones seem to be:

Words for Love

Cities / places you have been to

Places you are going on honey moon

Films / songs

Names of flowers

We are now having table names didn't want set places but my brother said it will be easier to organise people.

Have grouped people together who know each other and what they do, we have many hobbys and many friends.

I am either using ;photos that that group of people will recognise that others may not,

riddles/ sayings relating to that group of people,

possibly naming the fair ground rides as we have one for our reception.

Maybe group together your guests first as who sits with you and see if there is a common theme?

Start with what is personal to you and then think if you can get enough names out of that.

One wedding I had were big startrek fans so the names were Klingon, Borg e.t.c

The only thing me & OH have a joint love for are;

Eating out

Chocolate

Films

Holidays

There you go - perfect Ive seen them all done, Holidays is with a snap of the two of you and the name will be the place.

Choc was names of things like malteesers and had a bowl of each choc on the table

We are having names of places around where we live, and then on the tables old vintage photos in frames of said place

Holiday one is great idea but we have only been on 5 or 6 together (3 of which were back to the same place!) so we wouldn't have enough for 15 tables.

We had numbers but did consider using the names of the great lakes in Canada as Canada is very special to us. So perhaps places you have visited? My friend used the road names they had lived in together. We were sat at Baxendale table.

I love love love the Chocolate idea

I'm just toying with how to work the chocolate idea. For bowls you have to pick chocolate that can go into a bowl, we love like KitKat chunky's etc! Haha! Thinking a nice wicker basket with actual chocolate bars in? You know its funny as I'm not a sweets person at all and thought to myself the other week why does everyone have sweetie tables and not chocolate tables? This pretty much resolves my desire to have a whole chocolate table! x

You can get small kit kat chunkys (share bags)

Yep thats it, or glass bowls or taller vase will have a good look on the table, and that table will be called kitcat.

To stop the chocolate being a table centre piece (and drawing attention from my lovely cath kidston runners and cream jugs!) I might even put the bar as part of their table place setting IYSWIM.

Dont recall seeing sweets or chocs in baskets - always glass.

If it fits your theme you could line the baskets with chequered cotton fabric, cut with pinking scissors

But here are cadburys bars as place names which are also the favours.
